RUI MIMEMURA　峯村瑠一

問いの構造家 / Architect of Questioning
2000年長野市生まれ。さいたま市在住。多摩美術大学美術学部生産デザイン学科プロダクトデザイン専攻卒。
自らを“問いの構造家”と定義し、答えを提示するのではなく、答えが立ち上がる状況そのものを構築する。道具や場を通して行為を発生させ、人が自らの感覚や関係を再発見する構造を組み立てる。
既に存在する価値をすくい上げ、新たな関係へと編み直すブリコラージュを制作の軸に、問い・関係・素材からカタチを立ち上げている。

Let’s bricolage!



ブリコラージュとは、「その場で手に入るものを寄せ集め、それらを部品として何が作れるか試行錯誤しながら、新しいものを作ること」
集めた“何か”を卓上に並べて、観察し、それらを組み合わせてみる。そこに出来上がるのはちょっと不器用で個性的な道具。
目的のためにデザインされた道具にはない“不器用さ”や“ズレ”が私たちに解釈の余白を与えてくれる。
道具になりきらない“何か”だから面白い。いろんな“何か”だから美しい。
ブリコラージュは、ちょっと窮屈になりすぎてしまった価値そのものの解釈を広げ、楽しむデザインアクティビティ。設計図を描かない、探索的なものづくり。
さあ、ブリコラージュしよう。

Bricolage is the process of gathering available items on the spot and creating something new by trial and error to see what can be made from them.
The collected “somethings” are placed on the table, observed, and combined. What is created is a slightly clumsy and unique tool.
The “clumsiness” and “deviations” that are not found in tools designed for a specific purpose provide us with a margin of interpretation.
It is interesting because it is “something” that cannot be a tool. It is beautiful because it is “something” of various kinds.
Bricolage is a design activity that broadens our interpretation of value, which has become a bit too constricted, and allows us to enjoy it. It is an exploratory approach to making things, without drawing a blueprint.
