“泥絵の具アートワーク”
“mud paint artwork”
「土」を「絵の具」として見立てた“泥絵の具”を使って一枚の絵を完成させる参加型のアートワークです。色や手触り、匂いの違いを直接手で触れながら観察し、1.5×4mの大きな麻布に絵を描きます。全国の農業を行う土地や畑から土を集め、砕き、絵の具として使えるように手を施しました。
集めたそれぞれの土の色を同じ“土色”としてその背景にある情報を土カードとして展開し、体験の楽しみに加えて、土や場の背景を伝えることで、情報との結びつきを図っています。
このアートワークは田心カフェ(東京都台東区)と協力の元、農×アートの表現活動の一環として「2024秋葉マルシェ」にて秋葉神社(東京都台東区)の境内で開催しました。農×アートを通じた地元浅草との接続をテーマにしています。
In this participatory artwork, participants complete a painting using “mud paint” which is made by using “mud” as paint. Participants observe the differences in color, texture, and smell by directly touching and painting on a large 1.5 x 4 meter piece of linen. Mud was collected from agricultural lands and fields across Japan, crushed, and hand-applied so that it could be used as paint.
Each color of mud collected is called the same “mud color,” and the information behind the mud is presented as mud cards. In addition to the enjoyment of the experience, the background of the mud and the place is conveyed, thus creating a connection with the information.
This artwork was held in the precincts of Akiba Shrine (Taito-ku, Tokyo) as part of “2024 Akiba Marche,” an expressive activity combining agriculture and art, in cooperation with “Tagokoro Cafe” (Taito-ku, Tokyo). The theme of the event is to connect with the local Asakusa community through agriculture and art.
